9th`s 2nd collab with buckshot is due for release on next month (29th April) titled “the formula” Heres the vid for his 1st release “go all out” charlie murphys comes harrrd.

LP’s im feeling

Just a few new LP’s of the year so far I’ve been giving a good old listen to:

Black Milk’s been smashing it on the beats with the  ”CaLTROiT” LP and the Fat Ray and Black Milk LP ”The Set Up”… bit of a shame its with shit MCs on it… but if u like beatssss.

Pete Rock’s “NY’s finest” is a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! samples he has used before and just a lack of new ideas! waste of ££

Strange fruit project-”lost documents vol.1″- one of the BEST newish crews… soulful lovelynesss. Sick beats and good rapping - a bit too much religious bulllshit but it can be overlooked for the good quality music! good check their old LPs such as the “healing”.

EMC-”the show”- old men making good new music, a good solid hip hop LP from masta ace, punchline and wordsworth. with some top beats from peeps like illmind, kev brown, etc. deep tracks such as “u let me grow” about their love for their mums (how sweet).

Strange fruit project-adapt- off the “lost documents vol.1″ LP

EMC-dont give on us- off the ”the show” LP

Mighty Joseph (Prod by Madlib)

Some new funk from the trunk right hurrr….. Been bumping this the last couple weeks, the new project from Vast Aire And Karniege off the new LP:  Empire State… Out this week so make sure you pick it urrppp….. Madlib on the buttons, tearing up an old megadrive sample……  Hold tight for the MM Dub over this, far too ugly for NW finest not to destroy it.!…

Sway: I’m a Konvict

p>
Little interview with Sway here… a lot of bubbles coming out his mouth but interesting to hear he’s been working with Akon and that Pharrell has decided to pay him a little attention. I still find it annoying that UK artists always have to justify themselves by saying they don’t drink tea or eat crumpets, mostly because it just gets boring, and also a 30-piece orchestra is all very well but working with more classical musicians than everyone else doesn’t make you artistically credible.

Bitching aside, I still rate Sway highly. I thought his music would get boring but his humour and willingness to push the boat out style-wise always makes for interesting listening. I’ve also got to say something about Akon, who often seems to be broadening his horizons, maybe wth him on board Sway might actually turn some heads in the US too.

Sway’s Dotted Lines Mixtape holds a bit of a preview of what to expect. It seems to have passed unnoticed by a lot of people, so if you haven’t already got it, get it here. The drop of Benga’s Night on You Will Get Over It is heavy and there are plenty of other tasty things to listen to.

Be Nice - Remixes Vol. 1

BeyonceEveryone knows… serious… the best way to make me cry is to cuss my remixes

So for some reason, my first remix post is gonna be two of this decades biggest R&B tunes… let me know what you’re thinking… but be nice, yeah??

I think Beyonce is one of our generations most important singers. She’s written and recorded some of the defining songs of the past two decades. Whether she is or not (I’ve had a lot of debates over it!) I love her voice and I think this beat gives those high vocals the space they need:

Beyonce - Crazy In Love (Charo Remix)

Ne-Yo’s So Sick was massive, when I found the acapella I wanted to make it a bit less poppy and a bit more haunting because I love the MJ-style harmonies he drops on his tracks. I added some of my own vox on the chorus too:

Ne-Yo - So Sick (Charo Remix)
