Charo

I’ve always been a musician. I would sing to Stevie Wonder’s ‘Hotter than July’ blaring on the turntable years before we even had a CD player. A few years down the line I began learning the guitar at the age of 10. My music career started some time later in 2000 when long time friend Bill Zoot said to me “let’s start a hip-hop group”. We formed London I and after about a year of learning what hip-hop was really about we caused a miniature storm on Napster, with Disorda dropping our tune ‘Blitz’ on Itch FM before we even knew it existed! We then formed the RAF (Rhyming Arts Foundation - consisting of us, Sinna, Mumbles, Natty Dread, DisKuss, Teef, Jackson and Hal1200) and dropped the London I ‘Blitz/Renassance’ 12″ in 2002. Somehow, both of these promising groups faded out. After more than a year without a single lyric hitting my pad I started to spend time with creatively active people again and Mortal Methods was born in mid 2005. Since then I’ve been playing my guitar, producing, singing and rapping; doing what I do best and loving it.
